I’m Varilie L. Garner, DHA, MBA, MA, CLC, CCLC—but most people know me simply as Dr. V. I am the Founder of Butterfly Coaching Unlimited where I help women and men walk boldly into transformation through Spirit-led resilience coaching.

My journey to coaching was not a straight path. Years ago, I survived a life-altering accident that left me unconscious and broken, far away from my family. Doctors told me I would never return to my career. Yet through faith, determination, and relentless perseverance, I rebuilt my life—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. What others called the end, God used as a new beginning.

That experience shaped my calling: to help others rise again when life knocks them down. I understand what it means to feel overwhelmed, stuck, or defined by circumstances. I also know the freedom that comes when you surrender control, trust God, and allow yourself to heal and grow.

With more than 39 years of leadership and operations experience in healthcare and nonprofit organizations, I bring both academic excellence and practical wisdom into my coaching. I hold advanced degrees in health and business administration, am a Certified Christian Life Coach, and I lead with the belief that resilience isn’t just bouncing back—it’s becoming stronger, wiser, and more rooted in purpose.

At Butterfly Coaching Unlimited, I created the UnApologetically YOU brand as a reminder that transformation isn’t about becoming someone else—it’s about stepping fully into who God created you to be. My Spirit-Led Coaching Model blends scripture, reflective practice, and actionable steps so that clients don’t just gain insight—they experience breakthrough.

When I’m not coaching, I am pouring into my family—my greatest accomplishment—my two children, four grandchildren, and nephew. They remind me daily that legacy is about more than success; it’s about impact.
